A two and a half year old crawled into his father’s car and turned on the ignition. The car backed from the Pestka driveway across the street into the home of Mrs. Dorothy Yates at 6112 43rd Ave, demolishing walls and fixtures in the living room.
Tot 244 crawled into his father's car and started the ignition. The vehicle rolled down the driveway and crashed into Mrs. Dorothy Yates's home at 6112 43rd Ave. The car damaged the bathroom wall, partitions, closets, and water pipes. Mrs. Yates and her granddaughter were home but unharmed.
A Catholic priest and two girl students fell to their deaths in a crevice on Mt Tarantaise in the Alps during a descent from Thorens Needle. Another priest and three girls were injured. Rescuers carried the dead and injured on stretchers to Moutiers after the alpine accident on Thursday.

Families of 30 victims waited at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri to identify bodies as authorities and the airline investigated the flaming crash of an American Airlines Convair.
