The forecast calls a cold snap into Wisconsin from Canada tonight ending mild spring. Kenosha noon reading 66 expected to fall to 35 by morning with tomorrow's high around 42. Lake Geneva posted 74 yesterday while Land O Lakes dropped to 30 last night.

Sault Ste. Marie Michigan reports the St. Marys River still frozen with blue ice. Captain Mike Bishop of the St Marie car ferry says he may break a channel Saturday if weather holds. Last week Mackinaw opened a narrow path, but current ice is thick enough to walk on.
United States charges Russia shot down a missing patrol plane over open Baltic waters and demands punishment and indemnity for ten American lives. Ambassador Kirk delivered a formal note in Moscow rejecting Soviet territorial claims and urging strict instructions to avoid future incidents.
