The Lower Yakima Irrigation Company and the Benton Water Company merge, owning 4000 acres including Richland townsite under irrigation. An immersion canal under construction will be finished by February 1 and water rights accompany each tract sold. Richland is promoted as a prime town on the Columbia River with 16000 irrigated acres nearby.
