Whistle Bid Rejected For City Fire Alarm System
At the council meeting last night all bids for the fire alarm system were rejected due to excessive cost for a modest system. A C Wood of Gamewell Fire Alarm Co offered a bell setup with two thousand pound bells and sixteen alarm boxes to be installed citywide. The contract for the sewer outlet extension went to W A Morain to extend the outlet about 500 feet into the river.
