Kennewick Triumphs 15 Inning Victory Over Richland
Kennewick beat Richland 4 to 3 in a 15 inning game at the local park last Sunday. The decisive run came when Richland's shortstop botched a grounder with two outs and a Kennewick runner on third. Burmaster held Richland hitless after the third, fanning 24, while Vedica struck out 9 and collected 11 hits. The field was slow from night rain, aiding Kennewick's infield errors that produced three runs in the second. A third game appears likely as Richland rallied and played to the end.
