Richland News Briefs Highlight Horticulture and Harvest
L H Cox shipped 35500 pounds of potatoes to the Chas H Collins Co last week and received an order for 3500 pounds more the next day. Collins called the potatoes the finest he ever bought and could not find similarly sized fruit elsewhere. R C Bremmer reports peach trees so loaded that branches break, with a large limb sent to Kennewick for display. Richland residents enjoy roasting ears as corn grows on high ground without irrigation or cultivation. Martin Weinenga left for his Horse Heaven homestead to remain until after harvest. C R Baughman hosts his brother and wife visiting from out of town.
