A meeting of Columbia Valley poultrymen is set for Saturday afternoon February 11 at the Commercial Club rooms to form a permanent organization. Breeders and farmers with egg producing flocks are urged to attend to promote a marketing plan and an annual exhibition. The session starts at two o'clock.
J E Vertrees of Strout Illinois has purchased the stock and business of the Variety Store from R Dorothy. He arrived from Illinois early last week to oversee property improvements and a new house on his brother Carl Vertrees Kennewick tract. A debate is held at the Presbyterian church this Friday at 8 pm between Prosser and Kennewick High School representatives. The affirmative or negative on the income tax within the federal system will be argued by Miss Rosella Hamilton and Geo. F. Richardson. Judges listed are Prof. Lyman and Prof. Bratton of Whitman College and Prof. E J Klemme of Ellensburg State Normal School.
