State health board records 129 violence deaths in August in Indiana. Males 99 and females 30. 20 personal crisis cases average 41.3 years. Causes include drowning arsenic ecarbolic acid morphine pistol gun hanging cutting throat and other hazards. youngest self harm was a 16 year old boy and 19 year old girl with the pistol.
The Elkhart region reports the Twin Branches dam nearing completion by July 1905 with 250 workers and power to plants by August 1. The Elkhart Electric Light company installs night lighting, and a fair feature offers Prof Spark high diving horses King and Queen for two free exhibition days attracting large crowds. A New Augusta resident learns his wife’s body had been stolen by ghouls but is later found safe in Indianapolis with authorities.
The celebrated diving horses King and Queen will perform at the Kendallville fair diving from forty feet into a pool. Five Commercial club members plan a dance Thursday evening Sept 25 at the club rooms. Mrs Belle G Gushwa dies in Omaha after cancer treatment and surgery. funeral in Evanston Illinois.
News notes report traveling shows and fairs with diving horses King and Queen at the Kendallville and Elkhart events. Exhibits include new automobiles at the fair, rides and a parade, and local merchants promote discounts and goods for festival crowds.
A cordial invitation to the ladies of Kendallville for the opening of a hat shop on Sept 25. Miss Luetta Howell and Miss Mae Deibele will trim hats with Paris imports. Compare with other firms before buying. Deibele block is north of the opera house.
