George W. Young son of N I and Lee Anna Young born March 1 188? departed life May 4 1912 aged months and days. He attended district school near Bowie then Newton Normal College but did not graduate. He worked at Spaulding Carriage Works Grinnell Iowa then carriage factories in Missouri Illinois Wisconsin Ohio, last place Cincinnati Ohio for five years. As health failed he sought climate change moving to Arkansas Tennessee. The Christian church held a grateful gathering for the baccalaureate sermon by Rev C F Ladd with high school graduates and teachers present. The sermon urged practical study leading to a life of usefulness and enduring character.

Boden, son of the late Rev F A Boden of Kellogg, studied civil engineering at Ames College and shows great promise. Nellie, a former Colfax teacher, is well regarded in Des Moines social circles. The couple will reside in Mitchell Nebraska.
