Iola Bonds for King's Bridge Foundry Ordinance

Ordinance 32 proposes a special election on January 23, 1870 in Iola Kansas to vote bonds totaling fifty thousand dollars to Zenas King Mills & Smith. The bonds would fund locating constructing and operating a foundry and machine shops for King s Patent Bridges within half a mile of Iola limits with 15 year maturity and 10 percent annual interest payable semi annually. the contract dated December 12 1870 ties delivery after approval.
