A Kansas City meeting at St Stephen's Baptist Church formed a fundraising drive to support Dr Le Roy Bundy's defense. Rev James W Horse chaired a pledge effort targeting 5000 dollars with committees and canvassing teams. Baltimore, Md. May 1. With two Colored city councilmen winning seats this week and a Republican mayor elected by Colored voters, the city shows its new political power. Willam J. Fitzzerald and Warner T. McGuinn become councilmen, with McGuinn in the Fourteenth ward. Mayor Broening thanks Colored voters and pledges action. The Colored community seeks new high school, improved streets, parks, and facilities in Colored sections.
