Bundy Defense Fund forms in Kansas City
In a mass meeting at St Stephens Church Kansas City citizens organize the Bundy Defense Association Rev J W Hurse is named chairman and an executive committee is set to raise funds for the defense The group aims to raise at least 2000 for the cause and a meeting is scheduled at the YMCA Saturday evening with a reported 1760 raised at the event.

Attack Damages New Hope Church and Homes in Liberia
A dynamite blast last Tuesday night damaged New Hope Baptist Church at 19th and Waldron and shattered windows of nearby white residents. Damage exceeds a hundred dollars to a brick flat south of the church. Dr Toles notified police, pledged protection, and said church services would continue with a watchman. Local Colored residents say they will remain in their homes and continue to reside in the area despite threats.
