Vine Street Baptist Church reports well attended morning and evening services led by Dr. T. H. Ewing. Sunday school is thriving in Kansas City, with the B Y P U at 7:30 under Deacon Thos Pollard. Mrs. Thos Glens visits Higginsville, Mo., grandmother aged 125 in poor health. Woman’s Mission Circle meets Tuesdays. Hospital Committee meets the first Monday night in April.
An early discourse by Wm Stitts presents a Christian interpretation of human nature. It defines man as a living soul formed from dust, animated by the breath of life, and distinguishes soul and spirit as separate Hebrew and Greek concepts. The text cites Genesis 2 7 and Mark 835 to support its views on life and the soul.
A religious reflection cites Acts 2 17 Joel 2 28 29 and Revelation 20 1 28 on the Holy Spirit binding Satan for a thousand years and Christ judging the world. It argues against eternal torment, stresses a predicted future reign of Christ on earth, and notes a translation error in a previous note.

R F Quinn plans an entertainment at the Second Baptist Church at Tenth and Charlotte streets to form commercial clubs. Refreshments will follow. event starts promptly at 7 p.m. on April 3. Admission is 40 cents.
Highland Avenue Baptist Church reports strong attendance and a $27.74 offering from last Sunday. The bulletin lists services on March 29 at 9 30 a m 11 a m and 4 40 p m with sermons by Pastor Mills and revival plans starting Monday night with the literary and devotional features of the B P U and an invitation to the public to attend all services.
Mixa Hagel V Boon of Kansas City, once seriously ill for more than four weeks, has shown improvement. Friends express hope for her speedy recovery and renewed health.
A Standard Life Insurance Company report credits J A Robinson with first place in Missouri and third nationwide in last February’s new business rankings. His commission allows him to lead trained assistants under his supervision. G F Porter directs Kansas and Missouri divisions, with Herman W B Perry approving Robinson’s commission as a recognition of local merit.
The Hod Carriers' Hall benefit dance drew a large turnout of Black residents of Kansas City. Attendees enjoyed string music and Crosthwaite punch. About $40 was raised to beautify and enlarge the ladies’ dressing room, as part of an ongoing entertainment series by Dr. Theo. Smith and Mrs. Dr. Crosthwaite.
At the Second Baptist Church services last Sunday were largely attended. Rev. W. Hacete will preach Sunday morning on John the Baptist or The Voice in the Wilderness. An Oratorio titled The Seven Last Words of Christ is scheduled for April 3.
The event invites all to hear Dr W Sampson Brooks D D of St Louis Missouri speak on What a Black Man Saw in a White Man's Country Monday night March 50th at 8 20 p m Admission 25 cents under the auspices of the Nine Bishops of the Nine Mock Conferences for their ongoing financial rally.

His wife has arrived from Columbia Missouri. Boone recently lost his team, harness, and barn in a fire at his home, and his engagements are canceled for ten days.
