Home Welcome Sunday Observed by City Churches

A Home Welcome Sunday will be observed this Sunday by all Kansas City churches with special sermons and features in morning and evening services. The War Camp Community Service asks ministers to mobilize discharged soldiers to attend in uniform, honoring those recently demobilized from military service.

Pan-Missouri Medical Society notes sessions this week

The Pan-Missouri Medical Association held sessions this week at the YMCA and 11 representatives attended. Despite bad weather, attendees were pleased. Tuesday clinic at City Hospital, Wednesday at Wheatley-Provision Hospital drew many. Wednesday afternoon the Kansas City Medical Society Women’s Auxiliary hosted a reception at Lyric Hall with 300 attendees. A Thursday banquet at the YMCA’s Pascol featured short talks from various medical societies. Attendees included Dr J Ho Watson, RK Gentry of Tulsa, Dr and Mrs J A R Crosland of St Joseph, Dr J T Anderson of Guthrie. A government health picture by Dr C Roman of Nashville was shown at Panama Theatre. A separate ladies’ screening by Dr Redman occurred at Love’s Theatre. Both programs drew strong attendance.
