Western States Baptist Convention Session Held at Pleasant Green

The Western States Baptist Convention convened at Pleasant Green Baptist church in Kansas City with Rev Geo McNeal as pastor. Convention Hall Secured for National Baptist Convention

Kansas City units announce securing the Convention Hall and Auditorium for the six day National Baptist Convention September 6 to 12. A three member committee Hurst Williams Beckham leads the effort with help from the Baptist Ministers' Alliance and Homes committee. Officials expect over five thousand Baptists to attend, with delegates chosen in Vicksburg Mississippi and a six day program prepared for constructive work.

United Grand Chapter of Eastern Star to convene in Kansas City

The 26th annual session of the United Grand Chapter of the Eastern Star gathers in Kansas City next week.
