Mrs Smith Crews was called to Oregon Missouri at the death of her mother Mrs Sarah Huffaker who died January at 75 years. She leaves one daughter two sons and one grandson. Those who attended the funeral from St Joseph included Mrs Frances Free, Mrs Mary Free, sisters of the deceased, and Mrs Sarah Ousley, one cousin, and one nephew Mr Wm Reed of Platte City Missouri. Thelma Wilkerson left last Thursday after Christmas with grandparents. Mr Wm Washington and wife spent New Year’s day in Atchison with Mrs Cora Moore. Mr Fred Langford returned after a stay in Denver. Mr George Wilkerson of Clarinda Iowa is visiting his parents on South Twenty first street. Mrs Louise Winn returned to her home in Kansas City after a few days in the city. The Buy reka Art club met at Mrs John Harvey’s home with a large attendance. Mrs Ella May Winters wife of Wm Winters died January 6 at her home on South Twentysecond Street. She leaves a husband three sons one daughter father mother two sisters one brother and many friends.
