Johnson County Crash Kills Youth Near De Soto
An 18 year old Overland Park youth died at the scene after a two car collision on K 10 in Johnson County. Driver John A Honan 18 was eastbound in a Volkswagen. Charles B Trout 31 of Eudora reported leaving a tavern parking lot when his car collided with the Honan vehicle. Victor Allen 31 also of Eudora suffered a leg injury. Three others in the Trout car were uninjured. Trout was arrested on a transportation of an open bottle charge and released on bond for a Johnson County magistrate court appearance. This was Johnson County s 20th traffic fatality this year. Honan was a Shawnee Mission South graduate and son of Mr and Mrs John O Honan. He leaves siblings and parents plus grandparents. Services set for Holy Trinity church Lenexa with burial at Calvary cemetery. Rosary Sunday at Mellody Whaley Eylar chapel Linwood and Main.
