Orient pushes funds to finish Wichita to Sweetwater road
Stilwell, president of the Kansas Mexico & Orient railroad, says all money is subscribed to complete the 432 mile line from Wichita Kansas to Sweetwater Texas. A 67 mile gap between Benjamin and the Red River will be closed soon and the bridge across the Red River will be completed. The road is expected to begin operation in August and reach Kansas City thereafter.
