Miss Amelia Bingham Heads Ill Fated League Presidency
Amelia Bingham becomes president of a league long considered cursed after three leaders lost spouses and one fell gravely ill. The vacancy arose when Suzanne Westford resigned to travel with Lillian Russell, amid a string of ill omens surrounding the post. Doctors predict Bingham will recover to guide the group. Osteopaths win a medical recognition ruling in Brooklyn court. The Thel Levy Grand Opera farewell looms as she plans a vaudeville exit at the Circle Theater.
