A delegate convention for the People's Party of the Second Kansas district is set for June 22 at 11 a.m. in Paola to nominate a congressional candidate. Representation is five delegates per county plus one per 850 votes for R. 5 Osborn as secretary of state. Johnson and other counties listed. secretaries urged to forward delegates to Kansas City. Also included is Senator Ingalls noting a looming class-based revolution between capital and labor over widening inequality and poverty.
A Kansan letter discusses Coxey’s march on Washington with scorn for authorities and calls for action against tyranny. It notes editorial skepticism about Coxey’s army disrupting mails and mocks political parties. The widow of Senator Plumb sues Calvin Hood over a business transaction.
