Washington on February 7 reports a military budget near 400 million dollars, nearly double European spending. Senators Hale Allison Spooner and Teller debate totals for army navy pensions and miscellaneous appropriations, with estimates ranging up to 800 million dollars for the year and 760 to 780 million for the next fiscal year.
