In Kane Kane field history the young firm Craig and Cappeau gains prominence with Joe Cappeau the Forest Oil Co. alumnus and Joe Craig a former D. P. Reighard and J. C. Fisher & Co. representative engineering a notable oil strike on warrant 8767 near Kane. Drilled since July the No. 2 well began producing in mid November and rose to about 100 barrels per day by mid December as gauge readings and daily outputs accumulate amid field activity.
The will annexed of Cornelius Carri, deceased, is noted with W P Westox, attorney, Kane, Pa. The entry is dated 7, 1586 and appears as a legal notice to creditors or interested parties.
