Conservation Program For 1938 Will Differ From Previous Years
The 1938 Agricultural Conservation Program sets acreage goals for cash crops below the base and mirrors 1936 37 plans. A national goal for major soil depleting crops aims to balance consumption and export while limiting surpluses. State and county shares determine farmer allocations with full payments tied to soil goals and crop goal attainment. Landlords and tenants share payments as crops are allocated.
