Reminiscences of E Holekamp Pioneer of Kimble County
A life sketch of E Holekamp born March 2 1859 near Comfort Kendall County Texas who helped shape early Kimble County. It recounts his education San Antonio clerkship 1876 his move to Junction City 1881 the July 5 1881 wedding of Louis Scudder and Miss Evans, local dances, a riotous night, frontier commerce and travel by mule wagons, a lone church, a dramatic club, and fires that destroyed county records in 1884 and 1889. It notes Holekamp avoiding a lynching mob and aiding sheriff Noah Corder at the jail late that night.
