The Junction Parent-Teacher Association and local volunteer firemen prepare for a colorful May Fete on courthouse lawn starting at 1 PM with a Queen of May crowned at 7:30 PM. About 300 children participate, four May Queen candidates compete, and fire engine demonstrations plus carnival booths and shows run all afternoon. Proceeds support the fire department and PTA.
