School children prepare for the Interscholastic League meet to be held in Junction on Friday and Saturday March 22 and 23. A full program includes contests in tennis, spelling, essay writing, music memory, memory events, declamation, story telling, track, and more with divisions for all ages.

Clifton Schraub Dies Tuesday In San Antonio
Clifton Schraub of Junction died Tuesday morning in San Antonio after battles with carbuncles and pneumonia. Born December 21, 1917, he spent his life in Junction, graduating in 1934 and working in the family hardware business. Funeral services were held at his residence with two pastors and a vocal quartet, burial in Junction cemetery. Pallbearers included Earl Bowers and John Phillips among others. honorary pallbearers listed.

Junction V A Students Win Big At Fat Stock Show
Junction High School V A boys led by C W McCarroll and Dinzel McDonald earned second and third in the fat lamb division at the San Angelo Fat Stock Show. Over 500 lambs exhibited with Junction also placing in car lots and Angora buck divisions. Prizes totaled 113 dollars as V A boys including R E Homann and many others represented Junction.

Death Claims Mrs R E Boyett Last Thursday
Mrs R E Boyett died Thursday March 7 following pneumonia. Burial was Friday at Junction cemetery beside granddaughter Bobby Louise Coon. She leaves seven children, two sisters, about 11 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, all in Texas.

Walter Walthall assistant to the president of the M E T Railroad with headquarters in San Antonio delivered an inspirational address to the local Rotary Club at the noon luncheon today. He spoke of Rotary growth worldwide and urged attendance at the upcoming Mexico City convention. Bill Irby accompanied him with three vocal selections.
