Mudge Finds Bill of Sale for Two Wild Animals
In 1895 a bill of sale shows a roan yearling and a speckled cow bought for 1500 dollars from S J Palmer, later sold to George Farmer. Pierce Keaton and Charlie Hall aided Mudge in capturing the pair, which wandered Goat Hollow before reaching his ranch. A baby boy, Carleton Cecil, was born to Mr and Mrs Roy Murr, then died shortly after. Funeral services were held at Junction Cemetery led by Elder R T Williamson. Mrs Harvey McDonald Rites Held After Illness
Mrs Harvey McDonald of North Junction died after three weeks of flu and pneumonia. Funeral services were at her home officiated by Rev Charles Shafer, with burial in the Copperas Cemetery. Born May 10, 1903 in Wilson County, she married Harvey McDonald January 22, 1921 and left seven children, plus relatives.

A cattle truck owned by Guy Munn driven by Herman Lemons collided with a bus carrying Mexican entertainers near Stephenville causing multiple deaths and serious injuries. John Franklin Mogford of the Ong Mountain community near London dies June 1 in Brady Hospital after a short illness. Funeral at family residence with Rev. C. H. Garrett. Interment in Long Mountain Cemetery. Mogford born November 16, 1857 in Gillespie County, lifelong rancher. survived by wife Mive Tucker, daughter Amos Brewer, grandchildren and several siblings.
