Sheriff Sells Two Ranches Tuesday at Court House
On Tuesday afternoon at the West door of the Court House Sheriff Gibbs offered two ranches for sale to the highest bidders. The Richardson place at Cedar Creek head sold to J. W. Clampitt of Ranger via attorney Coke R. Stevenson of Junction for 9500 dollars. The Baker Consort and Moore ranch, near the head of Gentry Creek, was bid in by Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Eckert and Mr. Peter Jordan of Mason County for about 16000 dollars to cover the indebtedness.

First Session of New County Court Reported
The first session of the new County Court was held here last Monday with routine matters on the docket. An error in the oath of officers was corrected: J F Ragsdale fills Precinct No 3, replacing Eri G Hill who moved out. R R King remains commissioner for Precinct No 4 and C G Montgomery would have succeeded him. County Judge Farmer was elected purchasing agent and Dr Helen Gray returned from Paxico Kansas.
