Mitchell McLendon serves as editor and manager of The Junction Eagle. He holds membership in the Texas Press Association and the South Texas Press Association. The note references the paper’s status under the 1879 act.
Efficiency Class of the Methodist Church School held a November 23 meeting at Mrs. T B Phillips home. Members reported eighty one visits to the sick and shut ins. Hostesses were Mrs Phillips Mrs Walker Ragsdale Mrs Leonard Cowsert and Mrs Leonard Sides. Decorations featured autumn leaves and fall flowers. A Christmas gathering was planned for December 17 at Mrs Lucy Motley. Mrs Ragsdale presided. Refreshments were served to a long list of ladies including Mrs Felps Mrs Taylor Mrs Caldwell and others.
Miss Nancy Jordan of Junction won third in junior wool coat and Miss Dorothy Jones of San Angelo took second in senior wool suit at the state contest in San Antonio held Tuesday evening. Grand prize went to Fort Worth and Longview entrants. gifts aided the Legion Hospital Gift Shop for disabled veterans and their families.
