Mr. Jake Flanagin of Fredonia spent the past weekend with his sister Mrs Frank Porter. About 28 guests gathered Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Millsap and were entertained by Julius Hunger on violin and Jake Flanagin on guitar. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Bowen were present.
All students were present Monday as spring fever eased and work progressed. The Ivy School will hold closing exercises Friday night April 29 at 8. A 7th grade graduation, a play titled Those Dreadful Twins, and a primary room program are planned. Ivy defeated Tea Cup 17 to 4 in a playground game. Eddie Grobe starred in the pitching and fielding. Weather remains largely unchanged with rain badly needed.
Community members attended a negro minstrel in London last Saturday night and several visits and weekend gatherings are recorded. Families mentioned include Ivy, Carnie Wyatt near Sonora, Loree Rothmann, Ruth Rothmann, Lily Robbins, Kidds of Menard, Jarvis family, J. B. Fisher, Cooper, Kothmann, Wootan and Fisher households, with visits to Brady Junction Mason and San Angelo.
