Good Roads for Kimble County

Kimble County Commissioners awarded the road contract on April 7 to Coleman & Jenkins of San Antonio after a bid process attended by Judge Coke Stevenson and county officials. The firm submitted the low bid, though still above estimates, with construction to begin once state and federal approvals finalize, while the London road bid was rejected as too high. The London country is cited as needing a better value road, and Kerrville prospects are noted with Menard left as a cautionary memory.
