CHICAGO Oct. 12 The worst of the low mood which has struck farmers nationwide is over, says Henry C. Wallace secretary of agriculture. In an address before the National Implement and Vehicle association he urged dealers to aid farmers whose efforts have boosted American production to many times that of the Old World. He noted dealers face financial strain but must share farmer adversity as well as prosperity and that observations by his department indicate the worst of the present depression is over.
In county court Judge Cowing declared Joseph Remko a delinquent child after reviewing a petition and the boy’s repeated offenses. The 2 to 15 year old offender showed frankness in examination but could not be restrained at home. he is sent to St. Charles for training after exhaustive efforts by probation officers.
Jerry Elijes died at St Joseph's hospital from alcoholic poisoning due to moonshine. Coroner jury verdict says drinking improperly distilled liquor caused death after post mortem found no other poison. Elijes, 40, lived at 1143 N Broadway. survived by wife and one son. funeral from home to St Joseph's church Thursday, burial in St Joseph's cemetery.

Chicago, Oct. 12. J Stanley Joyes, Peggy Ho Joyce’s husband, refuses to pay 370000 to Cartier Inc of Paris for jewels he ordered for Peggy. Cartier claims Joyce signed notes totaling 1865625 francs and plans a vigorous fight to collect.
