Policeman Injured When Hit By Auto In Joliet
Motorcycle Patrolman Michael Cassidy of the Joliet Police narrowly escaped serious injuries when an auto driven by Margaret Hamilton struck him on the east side boulevard. He dressed his hip and knee injuries, then returned to duty and arrested two speeders, Ernest Williams and Milton Mueller, on East Cass and South Chicago streets.

Pulmotor Saves Boy From Death By Suffocation
Edward Thompson a 16 year old boy fell into Krakar quarry while fishing and was saved from death by suffocation by Adolph Odenthal and Arthur Dillon of No 1 engine house using the city pulmotor. Earl Bridge and companions threw a rope to the rescuer and Thompson, after five minutes of aid, regained consciousness and was taken to St Josephs hospital in favorable condition.

Alleged Bike Thief Held To County Court
