Beulah Keys filed in circuit court for divorce from Charles Vern Keys, an automobile dealer, charging violation of marriage vows and desertion. She seeks custody of two children, Richard age 10 and Helen age 5, and alimony. the couple married in August 1909 in Windsor Ontario.
Rome June 28 Two Italian cruisers arrived at Porto Baros after rioting at Fiume left five dead and ten wounded. Disorder followed the Giolitti cabinet’s downfall as Arditti forces clashed with Carabinieri. Fascisti demonstrations occurred at Porto Baros and Fiume bridge with troops firing to restore order.
Deputy Sheriff Gus Wrahse faces assault and battery charges sworn by Mrs. Victoria Karceska of Rockdale. Police Magistrate Faynik set the hearing for July 8 at 10 a.m. Attorney William C. Mooney represents the plaintiff, while J. W. Faulkner is retained by Sheriff Newkirk for the deputy. The alleged incident began when Wrahse, as deputy tax collector, tried to leave with a piece of furniture.
Big Tim Murphy was returned to Will county jail Monday after a Chicago appearance before Commissioner Glass. The hearing was dismissed as Murphy had been indicted for acts related to an alleged crime. He spent hours in the marshal's office with his wife and mother, reportedly saying Everything will be jack.

James Donnelly faced assault with intent to kill charges after a Tuesday night gun battle with police at his sister Florence Clark’s Cass Street apartment.
