Other proposals explore Labor Studio ventures, strike insurance, and railcar ownership, while tensions rise over Carpenters withdrawal and Irish questions. Gompers advises delaying a women’s rights amendment.
A playful voice urges revenge by slapping a dentist on the back as a group picnic travels toward the Kanakakee river wilderness. Dr Wilhelm plans a return with three pickerel two pike seven black bass and a sturgeon after a fishing trip with the two county dentists.

Springfield Illinois June 15 The Senate failed to secure 26 votes for the Wheeler bill which would fund enforcement of a strict liquor law with 150000 to the attorney general. Administration forces aided the defeat while supporters warn of retaliation. The Spence bad check bill passed the Senate making under 15 dollars a misdemeanor and over 15 a felony. The House also approved the McCaskrin bill allowing large cities to build stadiums and athletic fields and levy a 3 mill tax.
Springfield Newfoundland June 15 Dates and camp assignments for the Illinois National Guard school of instruction were announced by Adjutant General Frank S. Dickson. The school runs June 20 to 23 and is open to all officers and men in federalized units who wish to attend. Camp assignments include Artillery Camp Grant Rockford Infantry Camp Logan Zion City Cavalry Camp Lincoln Springfield.
Objections to hard road taxes totaling 120.95 by the Chicago Milwaukee and Gary railroad were sustained by Judge Cowing in county court. Other objections from the Third Order of St Francis the Greek Orthodox Church Henry Tatge and the Chicago Rock Island and Pacific railroad plus E J J B and Bridget Monahan were continued to next Saturday.
A coroner's jury exonerated Albert Harnecka, driver of the automobile, and Alex we ban, motorcycle rider, in the death of Steve Sarcy Sunday near Dellwood. Sarcy rode in a sidecar and was fatally injured in the collision.
Philip Dunavicg and Joe Demick of 632 Benton Street were arrested Tuesday on charges of being drunk and disturbing the peace after neighbors complained of a disturbance. Police acted on the report and took the two into custody.

Miss Lois Vandivert and Miss Margaret Huff, public school physical training teachers, were surprised guests of honor at a dinner last night in the Wash ington school Boy Scout rooms before leaving to care for their own households. PITTSBURGH June 15 Announcement was received that the Ohio Oil Company reduced Wyoming crude oil prices by 25 cents per barrel at the well. New prices include Grase Creek and Elk Basin 1.10, Big Lance Creek 1.05, Rock Creek 0.85, Ble Muddy 0.75. Midwest Refining cut all grades to 0.75 except Mule Creek. Torch Light drops to 1.10.

Chicago labor and political figure “Big Tim” Murphy rests in Will County Jail after being held as a suspect in the Polk Street mail robbery. He denies involvement while reporters observe him, as federal agents hunt for missing loot and connect the case to other Illinois crimes. Eight arrests have been made.
