Florence Rudd, plaintiff in a case against eight Joliet men, alleged a kidnapping plot to abduct her before a trial on December 22. She said many men waited at Jefferson Street and Eastern Avenue to kidnap her and hold her until after the trial. Police searched the area but found no kidnapping design.
