Remains of Newton Grimwood Returned from Lake Michigan
The body of Newton S Grimwood wash ashore near Benona Lake Michigan then raised and transported to Grand Haven and Chicago for burial. Police report the remains found by Rainson Teck With and identified by J J Tapley show missing journalist Grimwood was killed at sea and buried in Claybank Cemetery. A broad search for clues uncovered letters poetry and notes including a balloon ascent account by Donaldson and a watch loaned by a Chicago boarding house. An Haiti incident involving a self styled General Carol is noted as causing potential trouble with U S protection.
