Miss Johnston County Carrie Everett Wins State Title

Carrie Everett, Miss Johnston County and a student at North Carolina Central University, won Miss North Carolina at last week's pageant. Everett, 20, says pageants have shaped her life and she seeks to inspire young girls as a public representative, reflecting on her history as one of the first Liberian participants in the organization. She began pageants at sixteen and has trained six months for the state event, emphasizing interviews and vocal work with her professor and media videos to prepare.

Neuse water supply advance includes study and funding
