Albert McCullough twenty five of 213 First street faced a warrant sworn by Abram Oppenheimer of 236 Fourth street for assault and battery. He claimed to have been in the city all along. Oppenheimer testified McCullough threw him downstairs on April 22 during a quarrel with his wife who sided with McCullough. Judge Hoos granted McCullough discharge and warned Oppenheimer his wife did not file a complaint.
Law and tax officials Degman and Lind ay presented figures to Mayor Bugan this morning amid questions about a legal ad showing variations. The commissioners will brief state authorities next week on a proposal claiming to reveal differences between corporations and taxpayers.

August Meili twenty six, a journeyman barber, died of two gunshot wounds in his chest at No 103 Summit Avenue West Hoboken. The revolver lay by him. authorities say death was self-inflicted though motive is unknown. He is Swiss in origin, brother of Jacob Meili, barber at No 292 Clinton Avenue. Mrs. Jacob Geil a forty year old resident of No 05 Madison street Hoboken was found dead in her bed this morning. Landlord George Witte of No 512 Werry street discovered the body. Coroner Perslow took charge. A marriage certificate in the room shows a torn date. The death is believed to result from heart failure tied to dissipation. A half filled whiskey flask was found nearby. Her husband is employed out of town and relatives are in Secanda Coroner Perslow took charge of the body.
John Carmody twenty four from Brooklyn came to Jersey City on a Saturday. He slept on an Erie ferry boat and was woken by deck hand Scanton who put him ashore. Carmody punched Scanton and used language in the ladies cabin leading to arrest. Judge Hoos fined ten dollars, then lowered to five after Carmody demonstrated contrition and asked to go with funds for board.
Mr and Mrs F Morisett of 202 Seventeenth street celebrated their crystal wedding on Saturday evening with a reception and music. Guests included G F Conklin Poulsen of Hoboken J Ros of Paterson E Barceo of Orange and many more from New York Washington and Hoboken. Several handseven crystal gifts were presented and a supper followed the entertainment.
Captain Allen Williams of the Salvation Army testified in First Criminal Court against Samuel Meyer, fourteen, for disturbing a Salvation Army meeting at Warren and Montgomery streets. Meyer allegedly blew cigarette smoke in the captain's face and pushed him after being warned three times. judge Hoos gave a guilty verdict with a suspended sentence.
Anthony Pettig of Bayonne died at Roosevelt Hospital after being injured on September 6 while painting. He left home for work, did not return or notify his wife, and his employer Herty Brothers of No SUT Pith avenue reported the death. He leaves a wife and children. he was forty four.

Police think Joseph Fay and William Ting belong to a gang tied to recent robbing of Henry Selinger at Newark Avenue. Fay, 19, and Ting, 17, were arrested by a local officer on disorderly conduct.
