Ohio marksmen take Leech Cup in long range contest
In Sea Girt on September 6 1905 Lieutenant W H Richayle representing Ohio won the Leech cup match with 92 of 100 at 800 900 and 1000 yards. Sergeant W P Letshener of New York and Captain W B Martin of New Jersey followed with 89 and 88 as a large crowd watched. The company team match went to Company E of the Second Washington Infantry with 306 points, the district team matching the same total but losing by one point on the longer range concluding the 10 leading teams.

Too Much Benzine Fire Destroys Henderson Street Home
A fire started by excessive benzine used in a clowning act at 644 Henderson Street damaged Mrs. Schuman’s apartment. She and her husband were briefly inside as a lamp and can of inflammable liquid ignited. The blaze was confined by the fire department with damage estimated over $100.
