Throop Deposed From Ministry at His Request

Montgomary Hunt Throop formerly rector of St. Matthew's P. E. Church Sumex Street is no longer in the ministry. A letter to Bishop Bourke stated he is not in sympathy with the church's position and asked to have his name struck from the clergy. On March 3 at Christ Church East Orange in the presence of bishops he was deposed under Canon 6. He now resides on Grand Street and lectures on travels abroad.
