Special to The Jenny City News. Bordentown May 4. City marshal Jobes reports Arthur Sprouls 17 year old son of a carpenter was shot in the shoulder in his yard on Prince Talon Street. Sprouls, in love with Irene Pierce of Perkasie, received unsigned warnings and later a note with death threats. A .32 caliber pistol was used. Sprouls bought it five weeks ago but the weapon was not found. Authorities suspect a scheme by a rival suitor to end the romance and punish the couple.
