The constitution limits who may vote and elect brigadier generals to held officers of the brigade. The legislature cannot extend eligibility beyond militia officers.
June 4 1902 West New York police and medical staff investigated a saloon on Hudson Avenue after Charles Fischer reported a death by possible suicide. Proprietor Sand Evans was found on the floor with a revolver in hand but later awakened, explaining he had fainted from drinking and that the apparent blood was wine.
In Orphans Court Judge Blair heard motion by McDermott and Fiske to cut 3500 legal fee allowance to Traphagen and Beekman for settling the Hannah M. Post estate of Jersey City. Executrix Ann W.
