Lafayette property owner Mr Kjersgaard faces losing his Forrest street home after the Building and Loan Association refused a mortgage. Fire Commissioners granted an oil tank near the house, prompting lenders to back out. The setback sparks accusations against local Republican officials and a biting attack on a political figure named Angel, whose leadership is described as delusional by critics.

Governor Odell signed papers allowing removal to New York of former policeman Frederick Kies of North Bergen who is under arrest there for an atrocious assault on a boy last July 4. Kies, held on $500 bail posted by Brannigan of North Bergen, was arrested in New York and a grand jury clerk submitted the application for removal.
