Fire damages cottage building at Cottage Place address

Fire swept the second floor of the Photestory block at 80 Cottage Place last night, causing excitement as residents watched flames. Firemen from box 240 responded to the alarm, quickly bringing the blaze under control.

They faced a likely penalty though two thirds escaped. Justice Higgins lamented missing jurors and said no juror should render a verdict by coin toss while on the bench. He urged respect for oaths and the court’s integrity.

Missing man Bryan Fitzpatrick last seen on steam lighter Chickamore

Bryan Fitzpatrick, 35, is missing from the steam lighter Chickamore since Saturday. He is five feet five, 150 pounds, with a light complexion, light hair and moustache, and was wearing working clothes at the time of disappearance. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact local police.
