The Wayne Street Reform Church reopened after renovations costing about three thousand dollars. Memorial windows and new lighting brighten the interior where Rev. J. Alex Brown preached on Worship and Work. Evening services featured a sermon on What Is the Right Way, with a memorial window unveiling planned and addresses by visiting clergy.

Quarrel Over Cards Ends in Razor Clash

Salvater Bloise of 400 Instetréel was cut across the face by Carmiba Bigensi of 300 First Street during a card quarrel in Woki Misa saloon on Saturday night. Bloise was treated at home by friends and Dr. Diskorski sewed the wound. Bigensi escaped.

Boy Jumps From Train At Central Depot Injures Leg

A boy named Sherman Rue, aged one year old, jumped from an engine at the Central depot yesterday afternoon and fell breaking a leg. He was rushed to St. Francis Hospital for treatment.

Injury Report: Patrick Killean Breaks Right Arm

Patrick Killean aged nineteen from Tolasto avenue broke his right arm when a truck fell on him Saturday afternoon. He was taken to St Brancis Hospital for treatment though the record text is garbled about prognosis and recovery.

Burglar Fatally Scares Woman in Home Entry

Mrs. Decker returning home found a burglar in the vestibule at 94 A serpice last night. He struck her as she entered, the blow felled her. Neighbors and police responded after an alarm whistle. The suspect escaped. Decker, a Central Railroad engineer, was not home until two this morning.

PLEA FOR IRISH HISTORY MEETING IN HUDSON COUNTY HALL

One of the largest United Irish Societies meetings in six years drew delegates from New York Brooklyn Yonkers Newark Paterson and Elizabeth to Humboldt Hall Hudson County. Woman Found Unconscious at Holy Name Cemetery

An unidentified well dressed woman about 45 was found unconscious on a grave at Holy Name Cemetery on West Side avenue. She was taken to City Hospital and later identified as Ellen Daly of 618 Park Avenue Brooklyn by Mary Ryan of Hoboken. The cause appears to be apoplexy and she remained unconscious at noon. The finder was John Murphy, a Police Headquarters operator, who carried her to the cemetery office and summoned aid.

A large congregation attended St Mary's Church for a non Catholic Mission last night. The Rev Father Burke gave an eloquent sermon titled Why I am a Catholic. During the week's mission thirty six conversions were announced to the Catholic faith.

Saloon Fight Leaves Men Injured at Henderson Street

Alexander Kinbosky of Mortis and Bayard Kelly of Third Street fought at Saloon No 828 Henderson Street on a Saturday night. Kinbosky was seriously injured and driven out. Kelly was held on charges of permit and battery and disorderly conduct.

Fire gutted frame building on Montgomery street

A two story frame building at 127-129 Montgomery street burned Saturday night, with flames spreading to 151 causing heavy damage. The structures at the Montgomery Gregory junction were described as dangerous and roped off. 127-129 housed Aseman Brothers dyeing, Thomas Webster liquor saloon, and a T O Brown shop with W Weaver owning the awning factory. Damages totaled several thousand dollars.

Driver Hurt In Collision Involving Wagon and Horse

A driver sustained head and leg injuries when a horse attached wagon owned by H H Fleckenstein was struck at Cambridge Avenue and Griffith Street by a wagon led by Gueske. The wagon overturned. Miller, 36, of Thorn Street, was rushed to Chilat hospital. The other wagon’s rear wheel and spring were broken.
