In the suit of L N Reder trustee against United States Fidelity and Casualty Company and United States Fidelity and Guarantee Company to recover on bonds of George Pfau Jr secretary of the German Savings and Loan Association a demurrer was filed. The filing argues no fraud or dishonesty alleged during bond term and no shortage reported within six months after expiration. The bond covered July 1 1911 to July 1 1913 and shortage not reported within six months. Pfau allegedly drew funds and left port February 15 1912.

Ex-magistrate Oscar Lay was arraigned in Police Court on a malicious assault charge against Henry Krimpleman after a city marriage disturbance. The case was continued to February 23.
