Judge James W Fortune in Clark Circuit Court decides in a partition suit over about two hundred ang sty-nne acres valued at $3000 in Survey 246 between Marysville and Otisco. He rules that transfers to Jacob and Julia Bolly convey thirty-one forty-fifths while Agnes Scholl retains six forty-fifths as her husband did not sign. The case centers on heirs from Magdalena Belly who died intestate May 8 1898. heirs include Melchair Belly Simon Belly Jacob Belly Corrad Belly Agnes Scholl and Christina Does.
A letter from A Q Bailey condemns careless tree trimming along East Market Street in Jeffersonville. The writer urges action to halt what they call butchery of shade trees, citing damaged scenery near the Court House yard and pleading for sensible pruning to protect beauty and future growth.
The DePauw University building committee in Indianapolis approved final plans for the Bishop Bowman Memorial Gymnasium, a $106,000 athletic facility designed by R. P. Daggett & Co. Bids open Feb 17 with construction to follow. The gym will include Y M C A rooms and facilities for other student activities, marking a milestone for the campus.

Case against Thomas O'Neil brought by Louisville and Jeffersonville Ferry Company was dismissed from the docket this morning with leave to reinstate.

After a two day session the Indiana Reformatory Board of Trustees approved clemency for 37 inmates from among 55 requests this month. Loomie Cummings, 17, transferred from Plainfield’s Boys' School, arrived yesterday after prior petti larceny and escape. Eight new inmates joined, noting offenses from petty larceny to grand larceny across Ficyi, Shelby, Vanderburgh, and Pike counties.
