Act extending powers of Auditor of State 1866
The act authorizes the Auditor of State to perform duties of the Board of Auditing Commissioners and the Auditing Commissioner, with claims presented to the Auditor. It restricts the Auditor from acting on military claims previously pressed and rejected. It becomes effective upon passage and publication, and was published in the Iowa Daily State Register and the Iowa Homestead in 1866.

Greene County Board Proceedings Open Road Survey Request
The Greene County Board of Supervisors met in Jefferson in June 1866 with Geo Walton presiding. A petition by Wan Anderson and others sought county funds to open and improve the Jefferson South to Guthrie county road and for a re survey. the board ordered the petition filed and set actions including re survey of the state road from Jefferson to the Guthrie county line and appointed G S Oliver Fay as commissioner with report due June 30 1866. The clerks were directed to publish field notes in the Jefferson Guardian and the board adjourned to June 21 1866 for paid re survey work.
