Funds Released for Whiteman Area Air Base Work

Traffic violator fined and license suspended in Cincinnati

Raymond E Hayden Dies in Nebraska City

Raymond E Hayden 50 of Nebraska City Neb died early today at a Kearney hospital after five years of illness and about two years of hospitalization. A hoisting engineer born April 28 1906 in Versailles Missouri he married Erma Lamen on October 22 1948. Surviving are his mother Mrs Thomas Hayden Cedar City two sisters Mrs Vedi Edwards and Mrs Bulah Sullivan Cedar City and two brothers Elmer Hayden Cedar City and Kelley Hayden Kansas City. He belonged to the Christian Church at Nebraska City. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 pm at a local funeral chapel with Rev Lloyd Sapp officiating. Burial Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Joseph Pohl Rites Held at Vienna

Funeral services were held at a Vienna funeral home for 92 year old Joseph F. Pohl who died Tuesday in Warrenton from a heart ailment. Carl Baldwin officiated and burial was in Vienna Cemetery. He was born November 20 1873 in Maines County and survived by two wives, a son Warren Pohl in Oregon, a daughter Mrs Ernest Helti in St Louis County, two brothers Frank and Steve Pohl in California, and two sisters Mrs Nettie Schleuter and Mrs Anna Welsebar of Freeburg.

Fugitive Lewellen Seen in Suburban Oakland

A man identified as Homer J. Lewellen, 21, an armed fugitive on parole from a Dyer Act conviction, was seen in an isolated Oakland area near St. Louis.
